A fire A spark

Light a fire a fire a spark
Light a fire a flame in my heart

It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often than not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul.

Hiking is so different than running or walking or cycling. Your fingers cramp, you fear for life more than you enjoy what you are doing at times, and you fight mental and physically urges to not look down.
Then you reach the top, take a huge breath and say only one thing, “wow.” Almost everyone can’t say anything more than “wow.” I have hiked with plenty of people and this is the most used word, besides the occasional “whoa.” Maybe it is the lack of oxygen, or the hiking high, but in unison all that is said is “wow.”
Find your wow moment today, and I guarantee you it is not indoors.

Our individuality is all that we have, there are those that barter it for security, those who repress it for what they believe is the betterment of the whole society, but blessed in the twinkle of the morning star is the one who nutures it and rides it in grace and love and wit, from peculiar station to peculiar station along life’s bitter sweet route.
